Every Sunday Pastor Doug takes a moment to greet and engage with our Children in worship. He prepares a short story for the children to ponder during worship. We believe kids should be in worship and this is one way we make worship relevant to everyone.
All third - fourth graders are invited to participate in Acolyte Class each fall. Over a four week class, the children will learn about Holy Communion, Holy Baptism, Christian symbols, the images in the stained glass windows, and, of course, how to light candles and assist the pastors.
Our Children's Choir meets and practices during BLAST on Wednesdays. We sing during the Cornerstone Service at 10:30 AM! This ministry is all about teaching and engaging children in worship.
The first step in leaving a spiritual legacy for the next generation of Christ followers. Our goal is to provide a high-quality ministry that sets the building blocks for the spiritual formation of elementary aged students.
BLAST is our Children's Ministry. On Wednesday nights, we have a Pre-K through 5th Grade ministry that starts at 5:30 PM with a family-buffet style dinner, then at 6:00 we kick off with a little bit of music and prayer. The young students will split into their classes (sorted by age) and have fun learning about Jesus. The night ends at 7:15. April 25th was our last Wednesday Night for the Spring, and we are on "break" for the Summer. But we will still have many events - such as Vacation Bible School! - until Wednesday Nights resume in August!
