    Full-Time | Salary: $46,000 - $52,000 Full Time

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
    Leading a team of volunteers by developing, organizing, and supervising the Student Ministry (6th-12th grades) and Children’s Ministry (Pre-5th grades) to help the next generation become disciples of Jesus Christ. The goal is to lead our leaders in growing a healthy, relational, and outward focused ministry.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Research, recommend, and implement a Bible-based curriculum for Student and Children’s Ministries.
    • Recruit, train, equip, and develop leaders and volunteers to serve in Student and Children’s Ministries.
    • Develop and coordinate ministries that incorporate small groups, large groups, retreats, and service projects for children, students, and their families.
    • Coordinate with staff and other ministry leaders to promote and advocate for children and youth to attend and participate in worship, serve in local mission projects, and the overall mission of the church.
    • Develop, plan, promote, and recruit leaders for a Summer Mission Trip. Oversee the budget and fundraising. Provide pre-trip training, team building, and debriefing of participants upon return.
    • Plan, promote, recruit volunteers, and help coordinate a safe, engaging, and community-friendly Vacation Bible School each summer.
    • Monitor and ensure all volunteers who are 16 years of age and older and are working with students and children under 18 years of age have a current Safe Gatherings Certificate on file.
    • Coordinate with other staff in the promotion of ongoing and special events.
    • Consistent presence and leadership during weekly Student Ministry (Sunday evenings), and Children’s Ministry (Wednesday Evenings). Scheduling coverage in advance of absences in these ministries.
    • Assist in worship through leading Children’s Time, and occasionally Announcements, Prayer, etc.
    • Leads a small group.


    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
    Perform other duties as directed.


    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:

    • Understanding of children and student culture, ministry principles, trends, and programs
    • Experience in youth or student ministry preferred.
    • Graduation from an accredited college or university preferred.
    • Strong leadership and administrative skills.
    • Ability to be comfortable with and effectively speak to small, medium, and large groups of all ages.
    • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to identify, recruit, develop, and engage leaders passionate in making disciples of Jesus Christ.
    • Must have a clear and deep call to helping children and students grow in their relationship with Christ.
